Final Frontier
Rescore
This score was composed for my application to IU JSM's Music Scoring for Visual Media Master's Program. All music and sound design created by Joel Hoo.
"Final Frontier" embarks on a musical journey from the familiar grounds of Earth to the infinite mysteries of deep space. Beginning with grounded textures, the score ascends alongside the film's visuals, blending orchestral and synthetic elements to evoke the awe of blasting off into the unknown. Shifts in rhythm, tempo, and harmonic modulation guide the listener through distinct stages of discovery, with each transition marking new celestial terrain. The climactic sequences reach beyond our galaxy, capturing a sense of majestic wonder as vast clusters of stars and entire galaxies unfold. Designed to mirror the thrill and gravity of intergalactic exploration, this score celebrates the boundless curiosity and marvel that lie within the final frontier.
