“Untethered” invites its listeners on a journey of liberation and invokes the ethereal sensation of floating away. It explores the profound concept of freedom and embraces the liberating power of letting go.
The first movement explores the calmness and stillness of the initial stages of liberation, unfolding with delicate and expansive musical landscapes and evoking a sense of weightlessness and detachment. As the movement nears its conclusion, a gradual deceleration takes place, symbolizing a gentle return to reality. The music gradually fades into tranquility, leaving the listener with a lingering sense of serenity.
The second movement illustrates the exhilaration that comes from being free. Through bubbly gestures and soaring lyrical lines, the listener can experience a heightened sense of freedom and a joyous release from the burdens that once held them down. The exultant melodies and sweeping gestures celebrate the boundless potential that comes with letting go and embracing the limitless.
Through these two movements, “Untethered” gently untethers the listener and takes them on a transformative journey, inviting the audience to embrace the beauty of freedom, release their earthly anchors, and soar into the boundless realm of possibility, effortlessly ascending towards the excitement of the unknown.
